Cost depends mainly on the tree's size, condition, and how close it is to a structure or power line. Small trees often run $150–$450, medium trees $450–$1,200, and large or very large trees $800–$2,000 or more. Emergency or storm-damage removal can run higher depending on complexity. Every job gets a free, written estimate before any work starts.
It depends on your policy and the circumstances. Insurance is more likely to cover removal when a tree has fallen and damaged a covered structure, but less likely to cover removing a tree that's simply dead or leaning without having caused damage yet. Check with your insurance provider directly — we're happy to provide documentation of the tree's condition if that helps your claim.
